The Brand Story
Georgia de Graecia is a ready-to-wear label drawing on 1970s extravaganza juxtaposed with neoclassical, art deco and modernism references. The brand blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design, reflecting cultural narratives in its collections.
Georgia’s work is a study in the intersection of geometrical composition and traditional motif. By translating a rigorous design language into a distinct, recurring visual vocabulary, she operates beyond the limitations of seasonal trends to establish a cohesive, signature practice.
Her vision was forged in the discipline of graphic design through her studies at ESA Le 75 and ESA Saint-Luc in Brussels. This background, coupled with professional experience at FRAME in Amsterdam and creative studios in Athens, instilled in her a focus on geometric balance and systematic layout.
In 2017 she moved to Paris where she synthesised her foundational training with the study of cinema at Paris 8—a discipline that remains a central aesthetic pillar—before transitioning into the fashion industry. Through experience at houses including Lanvin, A.P.C., Paul Smith, Philip Lim among others, she developed a technical vocabulary of materials and volume, re-orienting her work away from the ephemeral and toward the permanence of the object.
At the core of her practice is the Baravelle print: a signature geometric dialogue that acts as a bridge between her technical training and her international identity. Her work draws deeply from the 1970’s cinema, Greek tradition, and late 19th & mid-century design, distilling these influences through a lens of modern structuralism. The result is a body of work that views each piece as an artifact within a curated, contemporary context.
